Art Cafe is a bar and venue connected to The Village @ Gureje, an arts center and creative community that brings together artists, teachers and leaders from Brooklyn and beyond.


The Festival of Colors is week long film and arts festival in Art Cafe + Bar. Daily screenings, workshops, parties, and performances all to bring together this budding artist hub.
Tickets for Workshop Participation will be listed as their own tickets.

WE HAVE PVER 80 MOVIES OF NEW INDEPENDENT MOVIES IN OUR CATALOGUE! Screening stations along the bar allow viewers to drink and talk and then watch any movie as the please!

SEPTEMBER SKETCH BOOK is an experimental film created using old school animation; over 5,400 drawings made with pen and paper. The film is abstract in nature, with sequences based on flags from around the world.

Robot Dreams Made Flesh


An optical FX experiment combining time lapse photography with in-camera multiple exposures on 16mm film using Bolex cameras and an Oxberry animation stand. The subject is model maker/animator Michael Sullivan at work on his stop motion opus "The Sex Life of Robots". The music is "Five" by the Hadron Big Bangers.
